Where we are 

Cortijo Carranque is near Coín, and about 40K west of Malaga airport, which is well served with frequent, inexpensive flights from the UK and all over Europe. 

Directions to Cortijo Carranque

Cortijo Carranque is in the Rio Grande Valley between Coín and Alozaina, in the area known on some maps as "Las Huertas".

From Coín, take the A366 towards Ronda. Follow the Ronda road out of Coín, along a very wiggly stretch of road for about 2 km.  At the next roundabout after Coín, go straight over taking the "Camino rural" sign-posted "Rio Grande".

Go over the ford, and after 3.3 km (2.05miles), up and over the col and starting to go steeply downhill, turn right down a dirt lane.  Just before you reach the turning there is a large upright white water tank, a caravan parked in a paddock RHS. ( If also the passenger looks down to the right over the modern farm there is a farmstead with a small tower - this is us.)  There is a plastic bottle tied to an Almond tree marking our turning.

Follow the lane keeping as straight as you can, right through the farm for 1 km, and you will see a turning to the left with a row of houses along it.  We are the house with the Tower.  Take this left turn, and then almost immediately left again into the Car Park.
